Thomas J. Raley, MD, FAAOS, is board certified in orthopedics and is internationally known for his minimally invasive surgeries and procedures. At Advanced Spine and Pain, he provides surgery, pain management, and general orthopedic care, and specializes in outpatient surgeries for cervical and lumbar procedures.
After earning his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Dr. Raley completed his orthopedic internship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and his residency at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. Dr. Raley also completed his spinal surgery and interventional pain fellowship at State University of New York (SUNY) in Syracuse.
Dr. Raley is active in the design and implementation of new surgical instruments and procedures, and his research has been showcased in leading medical journals. He has also authored chapters in various surgical textbooks. Dr. Raley has traveled extensively across the United States and internationally, lecturing and teaching other physicians state-of-the-art surgical techniques.
In addition to his research and presentations, Dr. Raley maintains active membership in the North American Spine Society, Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, Spine Arthroplasty Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Arlington County Medical Society.
He is licensed to practice in Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Maryland.
